The Indian Team started the tour on a High with a fine win over the westindies here at the queens park on saturday eve in a 200 th T20 international and it is the first time that the indian side have won a T20 against the westindies.Thanks to the wonderful partnership between the Mr.dependable Badrinath and Rohit sharma which help india to post a very good and descent total to defend.And to some excellent bowling from the indian spinners who chokes up the run flow at the top.

Earlier,WI skipper Sammy won the toss and asked the indians to bat first o a damp wicket which has manything for the spinners.The Indians didnt start the innings well as young Dawan got out soon.Parthiv and Kholi started to demolish the westindies bowler and Kholi in particular want to batthrough the innings but,the westindies skipper Sammy has different Idea has he picked 3 quick wickets who finished off with a good spell 4-16.

Badrinath - 'Mr.Dependable' :- India were wandering at 56-4.And it is the right stage for someone like Badrinath to step up to the task,Both Sharma and badri didnt let India down as they put a match winning partnership of 80 odd runs.And especially badri played the excellent anchor role who scored 43(37) and sharma also gave good company to him..And some big hitting from the lower order Yusuf and bhajji help india put up a fighting total of 159 for the windies to chase.

Chasing 160 always need a good start at the top of the order,But the Windies didnt start well as Aswin and patel picked a wicket a piece in back-to-back overs as both the openers are back in the pavillion.Windies desperately need a good partnership to steady their ship.And Samuels and Darren Bravo provided it.But,the indian spinners bowled particularly well and didnt gave any easy runs.The required rate is creeping up all the time.They need boundaries every over,Bhajji came with a good over to dismiss both Bravo and Samuels.Eveything were going well for team india,but the new man Barnewell smashed a quick fire 34 of just 12 balls but it was too late for windies as india won by 16 runs and started the tour on a High note.

The ODI series starts on Monday,the first match match will be played in Trininad..
