Kholi and Mishra brought India 2-0 Lead

"Kholi Excellent Batting Display along with Parthiv and the Descent Bowling Figures 4-33 of Mishra Secure India a 2-0 Lead in the 5 match Series"

Another walk in the park for India and they are well on course for a series victory. The win was always on cards despite the early loss of Shikhar Dhawan. Kohli batted superbly for his 81 while Parthiv chipped in with 56. Rain meant India were set a revised target of 183 and they seemed to be in a hurry after the resumption. Sanu ended the match with a brisk 26. The bowling was ordinary from the Windies point of view with the possible exception of young Bishoo.

Captains Point of View:-

Raina: Our performance was very good, especially Amit Mishra who was great in the power-play. I thought we might have to chase 250-260, but Mishra and Munaf pulled us back in. Parthiv and Kohli batted very well and proved their capabilities with the bat. I was not worried during the rain delay as we were well ahead of the game.

Sammy: We got ourselves into a good position, but did not capitalise, ended up 20-30 runs short. We played much better today, the top-order did well but the middle order failed. The intention of the batsmen were very good and we know if we can get the batting together, we can start to win, Sars and Samuels have shown a lot of fluency with the bat which is good. Rampaul and Bishoo have continued to do well. We hope for a better show at Antigua.

Kohli is the Man of the Match for his fine knock of 81

"I was disappointed with my batting effort in the last match and I wanted to do well. Parthiv also played amazingly well and we managed to build a partnership. I spoke with my seniors after the previous match and played according to their suggestions. I want to continue with my good form with the bat and make more runs for my team"

Both teams will now travel to Antigua for the next couple of ODIs. India will go with a settled and confident side while the problems never seem to cease for West Indies.
