CSK registered a win against Chargers

Chennai May 5, 2012: Atlast a win on the cards puts CSK in a good position to make it to the Play-Off's, after they registered a 10 run victory against Deccan Chargers on a friday night show down  in the Den of CSK, Chepauk.

Having won the toss the CSK skipper MSD asusual elected to bat first on a track which will get slower and lower as the game progresses. It always good to see M Vijay back in the line-up, he made just 15 runs but, he showed some kind of a resistance and a will to perform for CSK. Du Plesis continued is good form and put up a good holding partnership with Suresh Raina. Raina played a nice little cameo, 32 of just 24 balls which includes 2 massive blows! and helped CSK to progress on a good rate.

Dhoni shows good composure!

With Du Plesiss and Albie's back to back dismissals, Super Kings needed someone to hold the innings at one end. No one is better than our Captain MS Dhoni, He came in and analysed the pitch very well & played according to the situation.Dhoni's run-a-ball  composed 34 and Bravo's six in the last over help CSK to post a PAR score of exactly 160, This is what Dhoni asked for during the toss!

Defending any total in a crucial match needs an early breakthrough, Albie provided it with a good ball to dismiss Ex-Cskian Parthiv Patel. Morkel might have made 2 of 2 but Dropped a straight forward catch from White. Dhawan and White started to steady the innings and take the game away from the Kings. But Bravo's athleticism on the field brought CSK the crucial breakthrough dismissing the dangerous looking Dhawan.

Raina came in and showed his fielding skills with an amazing caught & bowl to remove Sangakkara! In the 18th over from Jadeja White took the match away from the kings scoring 18 runs. But Bravo came in and bowled the over of the match giving away just 9 runs and removed White.Needing 20 runs in the last over DC managed to score only 9 runs and CSK brought a much needed win!

Raina was declared Man of the Match!
