CSK stay in hunt with a crucial win against Royals


May 10, 2102: Chennai Super Kings managed to win in a thriller of a game  against rajasthan by 4 wicekts in an away game on thursday which puts CSK back to the 4th spot in the IPL points table and it keeps them alive to compete in the rest of the tournament.

Having won the toss CSK skipper Dhoni opted to bowl first with rain factor in mind with rain is interrupting all the way through. thanks to the ground staff who helped the game to start on time! Bollinger was fit but Dhoni made a gamble by giving Hilfenhaus a another go and it paid off.Hilfenhaus managed to pick 2 crucial wickets of Dravid and Watson giving away just 8 runs in the alloted 4 overs and also well suppported by Yo Mahesh with 2-21.Which restricted royals to just 126 which proved not enough agaisnt the batting power house of Chennai.

Chennai Super Kings needed a good start but watson removed Vijay in the first over for just 1 run. Hussey and Raina came to the rescue and tried to settle down but that was not about to happen CSK started to lose their way and they were stamering at 84-6 in the 17th over.

Albie & Anirudah's Heroics

With the situation almost out of control, the turning point came in the 17th over as Pankaj Singh (2-34) gave away 17 runs. The subsequent over by Shane Watson (1-32) leaked 18 runs as Morkel and Srikanth's heroics gave Chennai an unlikely victory.

Morkel and Anirudha tore apart the Australian duo of Watson and Shaun Tait to notch up the required runs in 18.1 overs The two raised 43 in just 11 balls for the seventh wicket. which keeps CSK in the hunt!

Dhoni said "Srikkanth is an exciting youngster, you got to grab your opportunities, and that is what he has done." Hilfenhaus was declared Man of the match he said "Very exciting game of cricket, good to come out on the winning side. T20 cricket is a funny format, things change rapidly, a good surface to bowl on, seaming around for me".
