CSK vs DD: Vijay carried CSK into the finals

An excellent century from M Vijay carried Chennai Super Kings into 3rd consecutive IPL finals and they are 1 win away from making it to their Hatrick IPL titles.

Having won the toss DD made the mistake of letting CSK to bat first. M Vijay gets of the mark with back to back boundaries and started to toil all the Delhi bowlers. Hussey was quite at one end and gave more of the strike to Vijay who was hitting the ball very well. Vijay became the first Indian Batsmen to score 2 centuires in IPL history and this one is the fastest ton of IPL 2012. He was dismissed in the last ball of the innings scored 113(58) which includes 4 maximums.

Raina's (27), Dhoni (23) and Bravo (33) helped CSK to post a massive total of 222 in the alloted 20 overs. Which proved more enough for the under-rated Delhi's batting line-up

Chasing 200+ runs always needs a blistering start but that was not about to happen!!!. Hilfenhaus removed the dangerous Warner with a brilliant catch from the centurion Vijay. Soon after Viru was dismissed with a well judged catch from Hussey. Jayawardane managed to score a 50 that was not enough for this context. Ashwin removed Mahela with a Carrom Ball and its all over for Delhi as they were bundled out for just 136 which brought CSK a comfortable 86 runs victory and a place in the final of IPL 5

MOM - M Vijay about his knock!

"First of all, I need to thanks Bharath Arun and Gurunath, the owner, without them wouldn't have been possible. I know the Chennai wicket and I decided to hit straighter. After six overs I thought the wicket was playing slower, decided one of us had bat through the end, I was lucky to come through. Happy to be a part of this unit and learning from them."

And he finished it with a funy quote "Bravo's a good dancer, cannot match up to him!"
