As we entered the New year it is time for us to relive the memories that the CSKians created in the year 2012



Lets see one by one. In the end do share your own memories.

1.Albie Morkel's stunning 7-ball innings of 28





When Chennai Super Kings were adrift by 43 runs with 12 balls remaining; Bangalore would have considered their own situation safe. But skipper Danny Vettori tossed the ball to Virat Kohli, despite Raju Bhatkal having one over remaining, and everything changed in a trice. Albie Morkel, who had just walked in, took first strike and racked up a sequence of 4, 6, 4, 6, 2, 6 – plundering 28 against the hapless Kohli.... 


2. Murali Vijay's Thumping 100 against Delhi



An excellent century from M Vijay carried Chennai Super Kings into 3rd consecutive IPL finals and they are 1 win away from making it to their Hatrick IPL titles.


3. Bravo grabbed a win with a last ball six against KKR


The last ball six from Bravo gives CSK an important win against KKR in a thriller of a game in Eden Gardens. This win will help CSK to held their 4th spot in the table and they are just one win away from making it to the Play-Off's.


4. Dhoni Fireworks 20 balls 51 runs against MI



Riding on captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni's blistering 20-ball 51-run innings, defending champions Chennai Super Kings romped into the second qualifiers by knocking out Mumbai Indians with a comfortable 38-run victory in the IPL eliminator here Wednesday night

5. Suresh Raina completed 2000 IPL runs


Chennai Super Kings Blaster Suresh Raina became the first-ever batsman to cross 2000 runs in the Indian Premier League on Monday. Raina reached this milestone during the course of his 44-run knock against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Den of CSK.


6. Ashwin's dream spell of 12 for 85 against NZ


The carrom ball specialist Ashwin judged Man-of-the-Match  for picking up his second six-wicket haul in the Test to return match figures of 12 for 85 – the best by an Indian against New Zealand in Tests


7. Dhoni named ICC Captain of the year


Indian Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is named captain of the ICC ODI Team for the fifth consecutive year.


8. Dhoni completing 100 catches in both Test and ODI


The only wicket keeping captain to reach the milestone of 100 catches in both Test and ODI

9. Dhoni's longest test innings 99 of 246 balls..

10. Dhoni 113 of 125 balls against Pak crossing 7000 runs mark



After a disastrous start, India were rescued by skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni (113 not out) to a respectable total of 227 for 6 in the allotted 50 overs in their first One-Day International (ODI) against Pakistan at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium on Sunday.

Despite tiring out, he stuck there eventually taking his team to a fighting total.
