Batting:- As Dhoni won the toss elected to bat first. Indian opener's started of well with a good opening partnership with sehwag started of with his own fashion of scoring boundaries.But, Shewag blistering innings comes to an end When he was at 35(26) with 6 boundaries.Now, Gambir joined and played well along with sachin.Sachin started of slowly,but the time from which he changed his bat.he started to middle the ball and hitting some massive sixes and reached his 50.On the other hand Gauti reached his 50 and got out in the same fashion against bangladesh in the last match.In walks Yuvi and he maintain the momentum going by giving more of the strike to sachin.Sachin reached his 98 th International Hundred with a boundary.(He now became the first batsmen who scored more hundred's(5) in the WC history).Both batsmen well settled india have taken the batting powerplay,but it didnt go well because both the batsmen got out in the back to back overs(sachin 120(115),Yuvi 58(50)).Dhoni also got out in the run of play for 31(25).India can't score freely in the death as ENG pacer Bresnan bowled very good yoker's getting 5 for 48.Finally India managed reach a formidable total of 338-10

Bowling:- As both the indian pacer's didnt bowled well both the english batsmen capitalized on that by putting up a very good and aggressive partnership.Fielding is always a concern for team india which was seen when Bhajji dropped a sitter when strauss was at 10 it hurt india in the run of play strauss went on to make a massive score of 158(145) who played a captain's knock.After KP got out Ian Bell put up a good partnership with his captain.A controversy came when Ian bell was not given out for an LBW by billy india reviewed it ,it was clearly seen that ball is hitting the stumps,bell thinks he is out and leaves the field (but for the distance reason he was not given out).A twist in the plot came when ENG opted fot the Batting powerplay, Zaheer picked up three quick wickets(which includes he crucial wicket of strauss )and put india on the driving seat.Another twist came when swann and bresnan hit a six in the 48th over(chawla got rid of bresnan in the same over).In the last over England need 14 runs to win,a shock came for india when the bowler Shahzad hit a six in the final over of the match.The match went to the last ball were ENG needing 2 runs but they got only a single so the match ends in a draw...
