Selection is based on form - Fleming

CSK coach Stephen Fleming interact with the Press before the match against Kings XI Punjab on Saturday. He says "The selectioin will be based on the condition and the form that the player is in....". He also says that the Pitch is settling down well for the kings and bring out the Home Advanrage back again..


He also said that it is dificult for him to pick players because there are several quality players are waiting for their chances. "We’ll have more problems when Michael Hussey and Ben Hilfenhaus come in. The selection is based on picking the right team for the right occasion and also the form of the players. The team we’re putting out has seven best Indian players and then [we’ll] see which four overseas players complement those Indian players." - Fleming said


He was happy about the pich now.


"It wasn’t that I wasn’t happy about the pitch, I was just a bit confused. Now we all know what we can expect and how it will behave in the coming games. Now, the pitch seems to have settled down and has regained some of the characteristics that we’ve come to know in the previous two years."


He also added that CSK are bowling really well in the death overs. "It’s more of an off-field thing. It requires special skills to do it and we’ve got some good players who have those skills. It’s something that we focused on, not only this year but last year as well. We realised it is a very important time of the match that can win or lose you the game. We’ve allocated a lot of time to find out how to get better at it. We have a very good death bowling unit."
